Owned and operated by Canalta Family of Hotels, Marriott Moxy Banff is a unique place for the fun and young at heart. Moxy is for Play. Seriously. The energetic and stylish alternative to the typical hotel experience, Moxy is designed for always-on guests seeking fun new experiences in the hotel and city they’re in. Our lively communal spaces and energetic Crew help guests have a good time by creating moments of spontaneous playfulness.

Moxy Crew take work seriously, but they never take themselves too seriously. They delight in creating a light and playful atmosphere, and are warm and friendly to those around them, welcoming all. We’re looking for people who: love doing it all, always think outside the box, enjoy chatting it up with guests, live in the now but know what’s next, and have high energy and a do-it-yourself attitude.

Who we are looking for:

Our bartenders have the basics down but are constantly on the look-out for new trends, micro-local offerings, and guests’ evolving needs. They are not just a beverage enthusiast, but also the host of the space. Their role goes beyond the bar itself to take ownership of guest service more broadly and do what needs to be done. Bartenders will use their knowledge and expertise to make the bar look and function flawlessly. They should be passionate about the guest service experience, but also have an eye for detail.

What you are responsible for:

Providing all our guests with a pleasurable dining/drinking experience
Bartenders will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended period)
Taking a hands-on approach to their work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping).
Follow Alberta Health safe food practices.
Providing courteous assistance to guests and team members as needed, reinforcing all Moxy Hotel policies and procedures.
Leading by example at an extremely high level
Actively work to be a part of high functioning, motivated and engaged team.
Maintaining the highest of cleanliness standards according to Moxy Standards
Maintain a safe working environment.
