Job Description

At the Fairmont Banff Springs, our engaging service and delicious cuisine make every special event a truly memorable affair, both within our distinctive surroundings and off-site. Your vision and leadership as Conference Services and Catering Coordinator will ensure an engaged team, efficient operations – and service that exceed the expectations of every client.

Your Job Duties Include:

Maintain good working relationships with all departments
Ensure that the equipment and general work area is maintained to a high standard, including desks, filing cabinets and supplies
Conduct follow up preparation of information concerning all catering and conference related functions for hotel staff (preparation and delivery)
Answer direct telephone inquiries or redirect inquiries to proper individuals
Block space for small meetings and small internal function and complete banquet event order's accordingly
Provide information to the public regarding booking conventions or catering functions
Be responsible for ordering stationary supplies for the department
Assist the Director and Managers in the department in producing agendas, handling inquiries and files
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience is an asset
Experience in an office setting is an asset
Hotel/Hospitality Management program an asset
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Sales & Catering experience an asset
60 wpm typing
