You will anticipate needs and assist in elevating all guests’ experiences in the iconic Canadian Rockies. You will also play an important role as part of the transportation, ensuring smooth logistics and high quality experience standards. This seasonal position is available for an immediate start and will run until November 2, 2024. Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $17.50 per hour. Discounted hotel stays under Pursuit’s lodging offerings, and discounted food & beverage and retail experiences The chance to work in an inclusive culture and make life-long friends Access to subsidized mental health and wellness resources Opportunities for career growth or future work at other Pursuit locations Access to one of the world’s most beautiful and iconic National Parks What will you do in this job?: Ensuring each guest who passes through has received the best possible experience through anticipating needs and offering personalized recommendations based off your expert knowledge Responding to guest and team enquiries through a variety of methods, including but not limited to walk ups, phone calls, emails and online communications Resolve guest experience issues, including appropriate reporting and follow-up as required Maintaining open, effective communication and positive relationships with other teams through radio, phone and online communication Maintain current and accurate knowledge of Pursuit attractions, events, and local knowledge Utilizing knowledge of Pursuit tours and attractions to cross-sell and maximize retail sales The responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and appropriate reports Assist in various transportation duties including, but not limited to, direct ticket sales, guest loading, bus directing, and guest meet and greets as required Ability to read and understand a dispatch sheet with driver assignments and passenger manifests Producing booking confirmations and follow up with clients including taking payments through a direct POS system with accuracy and efficiency Uphold our high standards of service, merchandising, and display Monitoring store security Facilitating efficient inventory management and movement Ensure personal safety, as well as that of our guests and team members, to the best of your ability Ensuring work area remains clean, tidy, well stocked and communicating any needs Uphold the Pursuit core values Represent Pursuit professionally in all communications relating to clients/guests, suppliers, products, and co-workers Abiding by and applying all procedures and policies as laid out What skills and experience do you need for this job?: Strong customer service skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills. Secondary language skills are an asset Proven ability or willingness to adapt effectively and efficiently, whilst actively participating in fast-paced, team environments Basic mathematical and literacy skills Time management skills and ability to prioritize Proven ability to take initiative and anticipate needs An active interest in the Canadian Rockies Accountability with the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and self-regulated Cash-handling experience Experience with POS systems, booking systems, and retail procedures an asset First aid qualifications and possessing a valid driver’s license are an asset Physical demands include constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs What will your work environment be like?: Beautiful.
