Full job description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with adults who are seeking to improve their foundational skills; including reading, mathematics, digital skills, writing, and skills for learning which includes active listening, collaboration, speaking and actively participating in conversations. The learners will have varying degrees of schooling and have often experienced childhood trauma. The classes will be small groups 4-12 people.

Responsibilities
- Create a safe learning environment where adult learners feel comfortable taking risks in their learning.

-Empower learners to challenge themselves.

- In collaboration with the Executive Director and fellow instructor(s) design learning. If you have no experience in this area, this is a learning opportunity for you as well.

-Create lesson plans to assist in ensuring learner outcomes are achieved.

- Follow Knowle's Principles of Adult Learning.

Requirements
- Experience in training, facilitating or coaching adults
- Comfort in working with marginalized populations
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in learning and development
