What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Hotel Management Applications Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting and maintaining our applications for our hotels and lodging. This role should perform analysis, can assist with maintenance or application updates, and communicate well with multiple business lines and technical platforms. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless operation of our check-in applications, and assist with a cloud-based maintenance application. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional background of IT knowledge, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.

This role is based in Pursuit's Banff or Calgary office. Some travel to and from other locations will be required. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and be able to commute to our offices in Banff or Calgary.

What will you do in this job?:
Maintain, and test our applications for our hotels and lodging
Field support and service requests related to lodging applications, prioritizing any revenue-impacting or customer-facing issues
Assist with any troubleshooting related to data integrations from our lodging applications to our ERP
Become an expert in the hotel / lodging application space
Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements, design solutions and collaborate in data validation, ensuring the final solution meets or exceeds all business needs
Provide training to end users on our applications as needed
Work with 3rd parties to add or improve functionality

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Technical Skills & Experience
Maestro, Cloudbeds, Opera, or other hotel/property management system experience
BS or BA in Computer Science (or similar) or 5+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of Accounting and Finance processes and concepts
SQL query writing experience
Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting information
Critical Competencies for Success
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Sound organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to establish and cultivate relationships with key business partners
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, as well as independently, on tasks and projects
Possess strong project and time management skills
Ability to explain concepts to non-technical and technical colleagues
Always maintain a strong attention to detail, with consistency during high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
A passion for learning and curiosity, willingness to experiment with varied technologies
Ability to work effectively in a distributed global team environment.
