Competitive Salary:

$72,000 - $78,000 gross annually, based on previous experience and education.


Job Description

To coordinate and lead the operations and activities of the Housekeeping & Laundry department, ensuring all Rimrock standards and procedures are followed and maintained and 4 Diamond standards are met, and ideally exceeded.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support and mentorship to the Housekeeping & Laundry team
Oversee direct training of the department Management team
Maintain a successful orientation and training plan for personnel, inclusive of goals and objectives for both new and permanent employees
Ensure performance evaluations and disciplinary actions are administered to Hotel standards
Ensure Housekeeping & Laundry shifts are scheduled according to Hotel’s occupancy
Control all departmental costs including labour, guest room supplies, and cleaning supplies while ensuring services and amenities provided to the guests are at the highest standard
Assist in the monthly ordering of housekeeping supplies, keeping within budgeted guidelines
Work with the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Floor Manager, and Laundry Manager to ensure and maintain top quality linens and productivity in Uniforms/Laundry/Dry Cleaning
Work with the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Floor Manager, Office Supervisors, and Room Quality Checkers to ensure cleanliness meets or exceeds Hotel standards in all public areas, guest rooms, and staff areas
Hold regular team meetings to communicate departmental changes and receive feedback
Ensure accurate record maintenance of all Housekeeping and Laundry department personnel
Monitor appliances, furniture, room supplies, and general appearance of rooms to ensure maintenance of Hotel standards
Lead heavy cleaning maintenance program
Work with all departments to meet their needs, as it relates to Housekeeping & Laundry
Handle guest complaints and follow-up with corrective action when necessary
Ensure awareness and application of Health & Safety and Green Programs

Qualifications
Completion of post-secondary hospitality management education or equivalent professional experience
4 years of management experience, ideally within a hospitality environment
Competent in Microsoft Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and focused while under pressure
Excellent organizing and time-management skills
Creative problem-solving skills
Works sensitively and effectively in a multi-cultural work place
Actively promotes a positive, professional, and motivating work environment
