Charlton Resorts, consisting of two hotels, Charltons Banff and Royal Canadian Lodge Banff, is a company that has set the standard for hospitality in the Banff National Park for over 50 years. As a group of hospitality professionals we pride ourselves in providing first class accommodation, and the ultimate in guest experience. The Charlton's Banff is comprised of 65 unique and spacious guest rooms and suites, with full breakfast facilities where guests are able to enjoy daily complimentary breakfast. The Royal Canadian Lodge Banff has 99 guest rooms including 20 suites. We offer an intimate setting with meeting space for up to 100 guests. The Evergreen Restaurant is open from 6:30 am-10:00 pm, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as providing in room dining.

Scope & General Purpose

Provide courteous and professional service at all times and maintain a consistent high level of guest satisfaction both in the Charltons breakfast room and the Evergreen restaurant.

Duties and Responsibilities

oversee the setup and takedown of the breakfast buffet, as well as maintain the dining space, ensure food is available, accept payment, and provide any other guest services.
Responsible to ensure all our guests leave with a positive dining experience by anticipating guest needs and providing personalized service.
To be familiar with all food and beverage menus, specials and promotions in order to assist the guest in their selection and promote the items.
Complete side duties such as folding napkins, stocking china and cutlery, filling and cleaning salt and pepper shakers.
Posting charges accurately and in a timely manner, accurate daily cash remittance.
Monitoring bar inventory and ordering supplies and ingredients when needed.
Ensuring compliance with federal, provincial or territorial liquor and food safety regulations.
Preferred Knowledge/ Qualifications

Experience in Food & Beverage Service, with a strong knowledge of the Food & Beverage service process.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to enhance both the presentation and service standards throughout the operation.
Excellent communication, guest service and up-selling skills.
Team player and a self-starter, yet able to work independently.
Physical Requirements:

Position involves standing & walking for extended amounts of time
Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs.
