Full job description
Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre is located in central Canmore.


We are seeking a Full-time Server -AM/PM


Objective

To contribute to the overall success of the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations by delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting efficient restaurant service. Bring strong serving and bartending skills, product knowledge, and a guest-focused approach to every shift.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Set up and execute the restaurant and bar according to hotel standards
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following recipes and responsible service guidelines
Take, relay, and serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
Provide detailed menu and beverage knowledge, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
Deliver attentive, personalized guest service and handle guest inquiries professionally
Manage reservations and guest seating when required
Process payments, including cash, credit, debit, and room charges in accordance with hotel policies
Maintain bar and service areas - stocking supplies, polishing glassware, rolling cutlery, folding napkins
Monitor inventory levels and restock bar and service stations as needed
Follow all quality, hygiene, and food safety standards
Comply with grooming, uniform, and brand presentation guidelines
Act as a hotel ambassador by welcoming guests and creating a positive first impression
Always follow workplace health & safety and WCB regulations
Support team members during high-volume periods and special events
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors and managers

Education & Qualifications

1–2 years of serving experience required
1 year of bartending experience required
Valid Pro Serve certification (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and bar service standards
Excellent verbal communication and guest interaction skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Comfortable working under pressure in fast-paced environments
Flexible, energetic, and dependable
Demonstrated commitment to guest satisfaction
Strong multitasking and time-management skills
