About the Opportunity
Argus is looking for multiple full-time CNC Machinists based in Edmonton (Nisku), AB, for both day and night schedules. Day shifts are 7:15AM-4:00PM, and night shifts run from 4:00PM-2:00AM, with night shift premiums.

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, these roles are responsible for operating CNC machines safely and efficiently while ensuring products are manufactured accurately and orders are completed on time.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Interpreting production orders, part specifications, material grades, and technical drawings
Reading and analyzing blueprints and schematics to guide machining processes
Programming, setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to meet customer specifications
Adjusting machine programs during production runs to maintain quality and efficiency
Manufacturing routine and complex parts from raw materials with precision
Using measuring tools, gauges, and controls to ensure product accuracy and compliance
Following work order instructions and understanding production sequences
Safely operating overhead cranes and pallet jacks to move materials and finished products
Planning and prioritizing workloads to meet production deadlines
Maintaining CNC machines and ensuring a clean and organized work area
Completing production documentation and routing finished products appropriately
Recording production data, including time, quantities, and operations in system terminals
About You
To qualify, you will need a minimum of 2+ years CNC machining experience and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. A background in machine shop environments, particularly with lathe experience, will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

Machinist ticket
General knowledge of products and services within the oil and gas industry
Understanding of safe work practices, quality assurance standards, and Lean Manufacturing principles
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience operating measuring tools, gauges, and shop equipment
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and pallet jacks
As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to stay focused in a production-driven environment. You are reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a team to meet tight deadlines.
