What can you expect?
The Room Checker provides an outstanding guest experience by participating in & assisting with the oversight of the daily tasks of the Hotel Room Attendant as required by the Housekeeping Supervisory Team. They assist in ensuring the implementation of quality assurance standards and ensure guests’ needs and expectations are met.

This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:
Supervisory duties; assist in managing a team of co-workers to ensure their section of rooms and public spaces are cleaned in a timely manner, serve as a departmental role model.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, including inspecting sites & facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
All the functions of a Hotel Room Attendant as per below:
Overall cleaning of the guest rooms to include, but not be limited to: dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen/ garbage, replenishing towels and amenities, vacuuming, spraying and wiping tile floor, cleaning bathroom, replacing dirty glassware
Ability to clean all assigned rooms per shift.
Offer assistance to guests and colleagues in a courteous manner; answer guest inquiries regarding the area and hotel services and facilities.
Cleaning & maintaining public spaces, areas and washrooms as required.
Work in compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks.
Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
Communicate with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
Other duties as assigned.
And you have:
Previous cleaning experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and able to demonstrate excellent guest service and encourage positive employee relations.
Accountable for remaining productive and efficient while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; a team player and a self-starter, yet able to work independently, reliable; responsible and conscientious
Must be in excellent physical condition and able to lift very heavy items.
Current First Aid and CPR preferred.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Additional Considerations:
Employees must always be of a sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position requires the ability to lift heavy items, walking, standing, crouching, and kneeling for periods of time. This position is also in a high-altitude environment. An appropriate level of physical fitness is required.
Some required uniform pieces are provided. Candidates must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions of an indoor role.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
