We are looking for a minimum 14-month contract maternity leave Project Manager, Hotel Infrastructure & Facilities to join our Hotel Capital Management team. Ideally located in Banff, AB, you will be a key member of the Hotel Capital Management Team responsible for capital reinvestment across seven iconic Canadian Hotels.

The Project Manager, Hotel Infrastructure & Facilities is responsible for planning and executing replacement, refurbishment, and restoration of technical projects in line with capital reinvestment strategies. This requires an independent technical facility expert with a broad knowledge of buildings/facilities, design and construction, and property operations.

Responsibilities:
Report to the Director, Hotel Capital Management.

Independently lead assigned major technical projects across Oxford’s Hotel portfolio.

Assemble and lead multi-disciplinary design teams toward project objectives

Assemble and actively manage project scope, budgets and schedules

Detail and closely coordinate project schedules and work plans with hotel operations teams to minimize revenue displacement and guest disruption

Chair regular project meetings and distribute minutes/notes

Independently assemble project commitments including POs, LOI’s, Consultant Agreements, Construction Contracts (CCDC’s), etc.

Active management of all contracts administered to deliver projects effectively.

Ensure competitive market pricing is secured, and the highest value option is selected in line with Oxfords governance policies.

Assemble and coordinate projects close out procedures including commissioning, deficiencies, O&M manuals, etc.

Track project costs and approvals in keeping with Oxfords governance requirements

Maintain and organize project files for active and future use

Closely coordinate infrastructure facility project works with Regional Director of Engineering, Hotel Chief Engineers and Operations Executives.

Work closely with Oxford Hotels’ co-ownership partner across major infrastructure projects.

Provide regular updates to the Director, Hotel Capital Management and broader Hotel Asset Management team (as required).

Qualifications:
5+ years of Project Management Experience including expertise in building components and systems, design management, construction documents and specifications, design and construction contracts (CCDCs), and permitting processes. PMP accreditation or similar preferred.

2+ years of related experience in commercial real estate (a combination of some of the following: project management, property/facility management, operations, development, design & construction); hospitality/lodging experienced preferred.

Post-secondary degree in engineering or building technologies required.

Strong understanding of facilities components and building systems required (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, exterior assemblies, etc.).

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized and process oriented.

Excellent relationship building and persuasion skills and willingness to embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a teamwork environment

Are driven to achieve results and continuously strive to deliver the highest performance through creative thinking

Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail

Moderate-to-high degree of travel required. The successful candidate can expect to travel and attend site meetings weekly at 1-2 properties based on the project requirements.
