Full job description
PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional service during banquet events at the lodge. This role ensures that all guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service while maintaining the high standards of our establishment. The Banquet Server works closely with the Assistant Banquet Manager/ Banquet Manager and kitchen team to execute successful events ranging from corporate functions to weddings and special celebrations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and decorations
Greet and serve guests in a friendly, efficient manner
Take and deliver beverage orders promptly
Serve food courses according to established service standards and timing
Clear tables between courses and at the conclusion of meals
Respond to guest requests and resolve issues professionally
Assist with food and beverage service during cocktail receptions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas and service stations
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Assist with post-event breakdown and cleanup
Support other departments as needed during peak periods
Attend pre-event briefings to understand specific event requirements
Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens
Assist with the dining room as needed
EXPERIENCE

Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred
Pro-Serve certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
Team-oriented attitude with willingness to assist colleagues
Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards
