Full job description
Description: The Surgical Processor is responsible for the decontamination, reprocessing, and distribution of a variety of sterile and non-sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Successful completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing Program (including successful completion of practicum placement) required A Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Medical Device Reprocessing Certification required

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working within an MDRD is preferred. Without certification, the candidate will be hired in a developmental role and salary adjusted until successful completion of a recognized MDR Technician Course and CSA certification. Certification is mandatory and will be discussed upon hire.
