Job Description

The Resort Driver will provide a positive guest experience while driving our guests in the courtesy shuttle to/from downtown, local hotels and ski buses. The Resort Driver will support the Valet & Bellhop team by parking valet vehicles and guest luggage assistance when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Genuinely and positively interact with guests at every opportunity.
Ensure driveway and entrance are clean and clear of garbage, dirt, snow and ice.
Ensure Daily pre-trip inspections are completed on all hotel shuttle vehicles (include, oil check, tires, belts, fluids, lights as well as backup lights, brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights, any vehicle damage, check brakes including parking brake)
Assist guests in and out of the vehicles and inform them of shuttle pick up times.
Assist guests with ski equipment or any other equipment/luggage.
Drive within acceptable limits at all times.
Guest luggage assistance as per need and direction from Bell Captain.
Park cars and retrieve cars as per need.
Be flexible: shifts will be varied as dictated by demand & split shifts may be required during busy times.
Knowledgeable of the Hotel, all its outlets, its layout and services.
Knowledgeable of Banff National Park, activities and dining options.

Qualifications
Able to meet the physical demands of the position
Must have a valid Alberta Class 4 driver's license and clean driver's abstract
Must obtain an Alberta Class 4 driver's license within a specified time period
Must be available to work flexible hours including late night and early morning shifts on rotation and split shifts
Experience driving passenger vans in mountainous conditions
Must be comfortable driving large trucks, luxury vehicles, and vehicles with standard transmission
Previous guest services or bell desk experience preferred
Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills
Demonstrates a professional, friendly personality in person and over the phone
Capable of managing multiple tasks at once while maintaining high quality work
Excellent organizational and time management skills
