What you will be doing as a n activities coordinator

Our full-time Activities Coordinator looks after our guest experience as well as our staff experience. You are responsible for the atmosphere and overall vibe of the hostel!

It’s a very demanding position that requires a unique set of skills.

You will be organizing activities and events in our on-site pub, so enjoying late-night socializing in a bar is a must - you can expect to be planning events, fulfilling host/MC duties and making new friends on a daily basis.

There's more, though - you will be developing partnerships with local businesses, managing the social media pages for our property, booking live bands to play and even taking guests out for a day hike, bike ride, or stroll to the market! It's all in a day's work for this very fast paced but unique, fun and social job.

On top of looking after our guests, the AC organizes staff activities, staff BBQs, staff days and most importantly oversees our HI-MAZING race.

What we look for

We are looking for fun, outgoing and charismatic individual who is not afraid of a challenge and is keen to become the best activities coordinator imaginable!

Ideally, you have previous experience in event management, some bar experience and great public speaking abilities. You are also competent with video editing tools, making reels, and have knack for great content.

Having a great level of fitness is a requirement, knowing how to bike, climb, canoe, sing and draw is a plus.

But most importantly, you know how to have a good time and know how to involve others in the process.

Our ideal start date for this position would be April the 16th but we are happy to be flexible for the right candidate.
