We are a privately run company, operating a hospitality and heli-skiing business, located outside of Golden, BC. We deliver Best Day Ever experiences through our companies Heather Mountain Lodge and Great Canadian Heli-Skiing, who have been a part of the Golden community for over 25 years. Our incredible location based on the doorstep of Glacier National Park gives our team and guests spectacular access to all the beauty and wonders the mountains have to offer. POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsibilities while serving in our Dining room

Welcome and greet guests, create a welcoming environment
Strong understanding of the menu and specials each day and share recommendations with guests
Strong understanding of wine in lodge inventory and ability to make meal and wine pairings
Mastery of the beverage menu
Work closely with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth meal service
Receive, enter and deliver drink and food orders in a confident and professional manner
Responsible for additional tasks at the start and end of each shift including cleaning or any other duties required for the functions of the lodge
Maintain clean service areas
Deliver a high level of guest service throughout the entire meal service for all guests
Work alongside all staff within the lodge to provide excellent guest experience
Responsibilities while performing housekeeping duties

Generally provide excellent customer service
Create an upscale ambiance and atmosphere for guests
Clean and prepare rooms, to a high standard, for new guest arrivals
Maintain guests’ rooms each day
Fulfill guest requests pertaining to accommodations, such as providing additional blankets
Conduct all cleaning duties required in the lodge, including cleaning washrooms, vacuuming, mopping wet floors, etc.
Conduct any other duties assigned by the direct manager/supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience serving in casual fine dining restaurant is an asset
Experience as a Barista is an asset
Experience in housekeeping is an asset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
BC Serving it Right Certification is required
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
WHMIS training and understanding an asset
Attention to Detail
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and repetitive physically demanding tasks, standing for long periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching.
Excellent communication, and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong time management skills
Strong solution based thinking
Willingness to be flexible with scheduling
First aid certification is an asset
Highly organized results oriented and excellent troubleshooting skills
Able to maintain a positive and objective outlook in challenging situation
Ability to lead by example while displaying a high standard of performance
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

As our Lodge is based right off of Highway 1, staff can enjoy the lodge life while still having access to the town of Golden in their off time to enjoy a dinner in town or a movie night at the theater!

Starting Wage and Compensation:

$18 per hour
Hourly based share of Heather Mountain Lodge Tip Pool
Full time accommodations and 3 Meals per Day (7 days a week) provided during regular operating seasons - $12 per day. Housing is a shared room with 1 other employee and shared washroom with up to 4 employees
Pay back bonus of $25 per week at the end of the season for full completion of contract term
Term: June 7th 2023 to September 23rd 2023

Location: Heather Mountain Lodge is located 45 minutes west of Golden, BC and 75 minutes east of Revelstoke, BC Google Maps Location
