What will you do in this job?:
The First Cook will provide excellent guest experiences through the consistent preparation and focused execution of food items. Successful candidate will operate in a manner that provides a safe and enjoyable experience for the guest, co-workers and self.

Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and missions of Pursuit
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volumes or unusual events
Produces food at a high standard following all recipes and seasoning
Plates in accordance to Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef’s standards
Always provides guests & co-workers with exceptional hospitality
Follows operational policies and procedures
Ensures all areas of working environment are clean and sanitary
Ensures that work environment is safe and free of hazards (hazard ID/reporting)
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Preparation of food items are consistent with recipes and health codes
Cleaning and maintenance schedules diligently adhered to
Ensure line is prepped and ready for service based on PAR levels
Will perform all other reasonable duties as directed by leadership
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong sense of teamwork
Commitment to follow all safety standards, practices and requirements
Previous kitchen experience is an asset
Journeyman apprentice is an asset
Food Safe certification is an asset
Physically able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Ability to work standing for extended periods of time
