What will you do in this job?:
The Assistant Outlets Manager, Northern Lights (NL) & Castle Mountain Coffee Company (CMCC) will build NL and CMCC to a clean and family friendly restaurant
Improving the execution and level of daily tasks (buffet service & execution, cleaning of tables, bussing and restocking of shelves)
Achieve revenue and profitability targets
Manage inventory
Ensure effective reporting to Food and Beverage Manager and communication to greater team
Build a high functioning and positive team
Continuous improvement of guest and employee experiences, create the “WOW” experience
Develop consistency within NL & CMCC offerings
Follow and improve standards based on guest needs and wants
Daily inspections on cleanliness and organization
Attention to detail: train the team to see NL & CMCC from a guest’s perspective
On the spot guest service resolution
Create proper service standards, procedures, key notes when speaking to guests, clearing tables and moving through the buffet line within the outlets
Demonstrate positive body posture and language
Ensure food quality is following the guidelines set out by Food and Beverage Manager & Executive Chef
Daily reports on promos, unsatisfied guests and feedback
Work as one unit with the Back of House – one team, one food and beverage department
Help support all areas within the Gondola – keeping in mind ‘one guest – one experience’
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry
Diploma/ Degree within Hospitality focusing in Food and Beverage is an asset
Experience building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization
Experience with opening a new concept and restaurant ability to take ownership and drive results
Proven track record in maintaining a high level of standards within the organization on and off the floor
Effective communicator and able to implement and uphold service standards
Understanding of financial statements, and forecasting with an ability to control expenses
Driven to fostering a team building environment and creating positive guest experience
An eye for detail and quality Shows leadership in a positive, calm, consistent & focused manner
