What can you expect?
Gondola Maintenance Helpers are in a visible role and provide an outstanding experience for everyone at Sunshine Village via the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Gondola. Maintenance Helpers are focused on safety, efficiency, and being approachable and courteous always towards lift passengers, while assisting Gondola Mechanics in their inspection and repair duties. Gondola Maintenance Helpers report to the Gondola Maintenance Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor, and under the guidance of other senior personnel in Maintenance. They liaise frequently with most Mountain Operations departments.

Essential Functions
The primary function of this role is the seasonal installation of cabin windows.
Assisting in all maintenance duties while maintaining and contributing to a safe and efficient work site. Sites include working around operating lifts, in and around gondola terminals, performing lift inspections, working on disassembly, assembly, cleaning of equipment along the length of the gondola.
Effective communication via radio including changing weather, unusual operating conditions, etc.
Accurate and timely documentation including daily checks, assigned logs, daily lift reports, maintenance logs.
This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, constant trunk rotation, frequent lifting, pushing/pulling of equipment, parts and tools (up to 45 kg).
This role operates machinery and works around moving equipment.
Uniform pieces (liner, outer jacket, outer pants, toque, collared shirt) are provided.
Candidates are required to provide CSA approved safety footwear.
This role has some exposure to industrial chemicals e.g. solvents, oils, grease.
About You:
Mechanically inclined.
Prepared to work flexible schedules e.g. weekends, holidays, nights, extended hours.
Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights. You will be required to occasionally climb ladders or inclined stairs up to 5 metres.
Able to stand for long periods of time, lift 23kg (501bs) Frequently lift and carry 9kg (201bs)
You are calm under pressure, alert and aware of your surroundings, always punctual.
You have an outgoing, positive, social and friendly attitude.
