Host role description:


We are currently seeking an outgoing and energetic individual to host at Banff's iconic Bear Street Tavern located in downtown Banff. This is an hourly position, working a few shifts per week to start, and will increase as summer sets in. You must have availability during the week for opening shifts starting at 11am or 12pm.
Hosts, by definition, is a person that receives other people as a guest. The host of our venues is the face of venue, acting as a greeter to all patrons. These roles require attention to detail, initiative, and a positive attitude. Among greeting and seating guests, hosts have a key role in ensuring service has a seamless flow by assisting servers, clearing tables, and being an ambassador of the Banff Hospitality Brand.


Responsibilities:


Welcome guests to the venue
Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
Manage reservations
Escort customers to the assigned table and provide menus and announce
Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
Assist wait staff as needed

Ideal candidate:


1-2 years experience in Hospitality
Energetic and enthusiastic
Flexible schedule required
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Amazing team player
Pro Serve required
