What will you do in this job?:
Reporting to the General Manager, Banff Gondola the primary responsibility of this role is to assist the General Manager in providing strategic hospitality leadership to the guest experience, programming, retail and food and beverage services at the Banff Gondola.
Translate vision and strategy into actions designed to grow the business, both in service delivery levels and financial results
Collaborate closely with F&B/Retail Support Services and the Guest Experience/Programming team to enhance all elements of the guest and colleague experience
Assists General Manager and project management team to ensure capital investments and renovation projects are on time and on target
Consistently communicate strategy, goals and results to the team
Coordinate the development of key performance goals for the team
Develops and refines standard and techniques to ensure safety, efficiency, consistency, quality and follow up resulting in and an elevated guest and team experience
Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times
Coach, develop and mentor the team while maintaining a fun, professional workplace
Adherence to financial forecasts and budgets; instrumental in taking steps to assist the business in exceeding targets
Assists in preparing and coaching the team on the necessary data for budget; projects, labor and other costs and monitors actual financial results holding the team accountable to targets
“Promise to Place” ensure sustainability programming that represents the values at the heart of Pursuit; specifically, honoring place through stewardship, respect and community
Participate in monthly financial reviews, forecasting and annual budget discussions
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in resorts, food and beverage and/or attractions
Unparalleled commitment to health and safety
Experience with multiunit leadership is an asset
Unwavering commitment to unique hospitality experiences and employee engagement
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, solutions driven and follow through
Demonstrated ability to develop, update and adopt processes
Ability to act as a role model with a focus on leadership development and coaching
Availability to work weekends and holidays where required
