Description

The Human Resources Coordinator provides an outstanding experience for our internal guests, ensuring a positive experience for employees and volunteers working at the Company’s three operational sites. Coordinators contribute to the daily operations of the HR department, while overseeing initiatives, projects, and programs relating to recruiting, engagement, and the employee lifecycle – from onboarding to offboarding at season or employment end. The HR Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Management team, works closely with Staff Lodges, and liaises closely with all Resort departments.

Job Functions

Recruitment

Alongside the HR Management team, coordinating and attending in-person and remote recruitment programming, including hiring fairs, post-secondary presentations, and annual recruitment initiatives.
Posting and coordinating job advertisements.
Preparing job requisitions.
Responding to inquiries with company and position information.
Ensuring up-to-date, consistent information is published and available to candidates.

Employee Transitions – Hiring, Onboarding, Offboarding

Reviewing applications, conducting interviews, shortlisting candidates, completing reference checks.
Hiring candidates, including sending offers, changes, and confirming acceptance.
Alongside the HR Management team, coordinating and carrying out high-volume employee sign-in sessions.
Distributing first-day information, organizing accommodation (if available and required), and advising new hires on workplace requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
Ensuring follow up and completion of employee onboarding documentation (+ ongoing audit function).
Alongside the HR Management team, assisting with and carrying out employee sign-outs, processing terminations, completing retrieval of company items, and carrying out additional offboarding processes.

Employee Engagement, Development, Retention

Facilitating engagement initiatives (e.g., employee surveys, recognition programs, rewards, events).
Maintaining and reviewing current employee resource list and support programs.
Assisting with development and delivery of Company training programs and initiatives.
Contributing to employee communications (e.g., newsletters, scheduled messaging).
Developing a thorough understanding of employee policies, processes, perks, and benefits programs.

Workplace Administration and TMS Office/Front Desk Support

Scheduled participation in regular office duties, daily HR processes, front desk operations.
Overseeing and managing communications and tasks via the HR Season inbox and Microsoft Teams.
Assisting with distribution, maintenance (laundry, repair, organization of storage areas), and accurate, complete inventory of company uniforms.
Adherence to and review of (when updates are required) department standard operating procedures.
Carrying out continuous functions in the digital HRIS system for employee file and document management.
Timely and accurate incident reporting and deficiencies reporting to appropriate departments/personnel.

This position must always ensure professional, confidential, and helpful service interactions, assisting and supporting with general inquiries, employment issues, and policy interpretation and application. A thorough understanding of the company’s operations, policies, goals, and objectives is required.

Other duties and specific projects may be requested and assigned from time to time.

Experience/Requirements

Designation or related post-secondary education in Human Resources, business administration, recruitment, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in international recruitment and in seasonal, recreation and tourism-focused workplaces.
Advanced computer skills and working with an up-to-date suite of Microsoft Office programs (including strong knowledge of Excel) is a must. Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce or a similar HRIS system is preferred.
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Excellent time management and a strong aptitude for forward-planning.
Professional, positive, and friendly attitude.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays, some evenings, and overtime).
Prepared to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (appropriate footwear, outerwear, etc.).
Calm under pressure and patient.
Must always maintain confidentiality and professional conduct, on or off-duty, and online.
Effectively provide training, support and assistance to coworkers and other departments.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training.
Must be accurate, punctual, dependable, and have an enthusiastic approach to service delivery.

Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position handles sensitive, confidential information. Discretion and high standards of personal privacy protection are required.
Our office environments have a business casual “recreation” approach to work attire.
