What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Director of Rooms, Jasper Lodging is a key member of a collaborative and entrepreneurial senior management team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Lodging for Banff Jasper Collection, the Director of Rooms is responsible for the onsite leadership of the Hotel Managers and their teams; and the advancement of the Rooms product & experience at Jasper Co.’s seven hotels and resorts. Key responsibilities include the transformation of guest hospitality and employee engagement in addition to daily operations and financial results. In this capacity, the role will lead a senior leadership team in Jasper, including Five Hotel Managers, Executive Housekeeper and a Guest Experience Manager. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the Jasper F&B General Manager and corporate shared service teams on various property-related matter.

What will you do in this job?:
Major Responsibilities
Collaborate with VP, Lodging in the development and execution of Banff Jasper Lodging strategies, business plans and goals
Lead the Jasper Lodging management team in the achievement of those financial, guest satisfaction, employee engagement and community goals
Provide the leadership and coaching that results in an empowered, solution-driven team focused on continuous improvement
Partner with P&C to achieve staffing goals, employee retention, and build talent internally
Develop and implement tools for leaders and staff that foster an environment of learning and growth
Be a hands-on and engaging leader directing the focus on details, efficiencies and procedures.
Monitor guest experience, identify trends and lead the team in developing an evolving solutions plan
Establish controls that create accountability, identify risks and opportunities
Report on month end results, forecast future expense and contribute to the development of annual budgets
Report business needs and solutions to VP, Lodging on a weekly basis
Collaborate with the Housing Team in the development, acquisition and long-term plan for staff housing within Jasper
Drive Pursuits Promise to Place programs and initiatives

Experience
10+ years of experience in hospitality, lodging and travel required
Proven ability to transformed guest experience and employee engagement
Proven leadership experience in world class/market leading hotels
Experience with best in class operating systems, training, colleague development and the operational management of large and complex hotel properties
Experience managing annual budgets, P&L statements, and Capital budget requests
Experience using guest satisfaction platforms such as Revinate, Trip Advisor, and similar platforms that measure NPS
Ability to understand and analyze guest and employee feedback, build appropriate action plans, implement, and respond professionally to concerns
