Starting Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour


Job Description
Supervise and participate in maintenance activities and special projects at the Hotel and at offsite staff accommodation buildings
Train maintenance workers to perform their work while following safe work practices
Lead morning maintenance team meetings
Create, update, and revise work orders and daily and weekly job plans and assign tasks to maintenance workers
Coordinate maintenance activities with other hotel departments
Audit work performed by maintenance workers
Manage part/tool/equipment inventories
Assist with pool and hot tub maintenance and operation
Be an active member of the Hotel Emergency Response Team

Qualifications
Basic maintenance skills required (plumbing, carpentry, painting)
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pumps, fans, vehicles, machines
Previous experience as a maintenance team supervisor with an aptitude and interest in teaching and sharing knowledge
Previous experience working in a hotel an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong and responsible problem-solving skills
Able to meet the physical demands of the position
Good computers skills (typing, data entry, email)
Valid drivers license
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
