Full job description
The Opportunity

Audience Services at Banff Centre is looking for casual Ticket Sellers to work in the Box Office and support the team in providing exceptional customer service to our patrons, guests, visitors, and participants.

Specific Accountabilities

Being knowledgeable about specific details of all events, as well as Box Office practices and procedures.
Assisting the Manager of Audience Services and Audience Service Coordinator with event management, which includes special/complimentary ticket requests.
Utilizing a computerized ticketing system for daily ticketing and sales reports.
Executing accurate in-person sales, mail orders, phone orders, online orders, group and series sales, and adhering to procedures for reservations, exchanges and refunds, and the complimentary ticket policy for each event.
Ensuring accurate and timely information flow to the public.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualification and Educational Requirements

Completion of secondary school with at least six months’ work experience in front-line customer service
Comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with ticketing software is an asset
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Reliable and self-motivated
Pleasant phone manner and excellent listening and clear communication skills
Demonstrates a customer-centric approach and strives to provide exceptional customer service
Enjoys working as part of a team
Special Requirements

Due to the nature of the job, the casual Ticket Seller may be contacted to work a flexible, irregular schedule including weekdays, evenings and weekends.
All interested candidates are invited to apply; however, priority will be given to applicants who are available to work weekday shifts.
Employment Terms & Benefits

In accordance with CUPE 4318, these are unionized, casual support staff positions working up to 35 hours per month on an on-call basis.
This position pays $16.64 per hour.
Only applicants who live in the Bow Valley will be considered. Staff accommodation is not available for these positions.

Candidates offered a position with Banff Centre, in this capacity, will be required to obtain a criminal record check verifying a clear record before a job offer can be finalized.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Banff Centre is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
