The Company:

My client is a luxury hotel in the Canadian Rockies, and part of a worldwide prestigious hotel group. We are looking an amazing Venue Chef de Cuisine to oversee the main restaurant and assist other outlets for this great property. Fine-dining experience is an absolute must!

Chef de Cuisine Duties:

Reporting to the property Executive Sous Chef, the Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for all outcomes for the kitchen of one key outlet
Ensure guests receive the highest level of food quality and service
Full menu creation, including seasonal and daily specials
Manage, lead, develop, and train a team
Develop and prepare seasonal menus, including sourcing the right ingredients
Maintain brand standards and ensure the team is delivering the ultimate guest experience
Assist in product purchasing and manage budgets and food cost for your outlet
Inspire, coach and develop the chef teams in all areas to ensure ongoing development
Liaise with the restaurant managers to maintain effective communication throughout the team
Adhere to and follow ALL SAFE health and safety protocols, ensure all colleagues are trained and held accountable for the set standard
Ensures high quality, palatable and well-presented foods are served
The ideal Chef de Cuisine will possess the following qualities:

3+ years culinary experience in a high-volume fine-dining environment
Hotel or large kitchen experience a HUGE plus
Up to date on food trends for versatile and stylish menu creation
Would accept an exceptional Sous Chef looking to raise the bar
Strong team leader with effective communication, organizational and time management skills
Solid plating skills for consistent and contemporary serving styles at a fine-dining level
Proficient in Microsoft windows applications word, excel, power point, and birchstreet
Strong financial acumen
Proven record of building strong relationships with team members, patrons and managers
