Customer Service Agent - On-It Regional Transit

SOUTHLAND is currently hiring a Customer Service Agent for seasonal work between May 17 - October 14, 2024. Shifts fall Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays. Hours can vary depending on shift and location.

The successful candidate will work an average of 15 - 16 hours per week at an hourly rate of $18.00. Customer Service Agents are required to work outside.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Good communicator – fluency in reading, writing and speaking English
Ability to speak a second language preferred
Confident, pleasant and welcoming disposition
Previous experience in a customer facing / customer service position
Ability to operate an i-Pad and ticketing apps
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work on own initiative
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Greet passengers arriving to depart for Calgary
Check and scan tickets, sell tickets using i-Pad and app
Answer customer’s questions about schedules, routes and timings
Reflect the company, the On-It Brand, Parks Canada and Bow Valley Transit in a positive light
Liaise with Supervisor, drivers and other CSA’s to ensure a smooth and trouble free operation
Assist drivers with loading passengers and ensuring on-time departures
Provide information to the Supervisor to enable them to make decisions regarding service, load levels and service changes
Compile data on passenger numbers for each trip
Manage and log lost property items
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Experienced working in a customer service environment
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 16 per week
