THE ROLE:

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and the Executive Housekeeper, the housekeeping supervisor is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces and staff accommodation units.

ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the Housekeeping Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following:

Daily room assignments to Room Attendants and Housemen.
Daily inspection of all rooms & common areas.
Daily control of key cards & Vacuums by signing in & out.
Prepare room attendants report before staff arrive in AM.
Control of cleaning products to ensure proper use.
Working with staff to ensure that standards are being met & doing follow ups.
Reporting of any maintenance issues and follow up on completion.
Train staff in all aspects of their role as required.
Working closely with Executive housekeeper and communicate any staffing concerns.
Working closely with front desk regarding room status.
Ensure team members are following procedures as outline in the Housekeeping manual.
Clean arrival and stay over rooms as required.
Assist in the laundry as needed based on business demands and staffing levels.
Responsible for assisting the Asst & Executive Housekeeping managers to control productivity (payroll costs).
Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, ensure the team members follow proper Health & Safety procedures.
Work the Asst/Executive Housekeeping Managers to schedule and conduct deep cleaning and special projects for guest rooms, public spaces and staff accommodation units.
Public spaces and staff houses are part of our housekeeping department’s responsibility.
To carry out other duties as assigned by the Assistant Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper.
COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:

Must be able to have professionalism at all times while dealing with other staff members.
Must be physically fit. Position requires extensive walking, bending, standing the lifting.
Flexible attitude to scheduled shifts – the incumbent may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
Literacy skills – reading, writing, and oral.
Outstanding organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Work well independently and in a team environment with minimum supervision.
Self-motivated, honest, creative, capable of working in a team environment.
