Job Description

Server - Vermillion Room

A Server at Vermillion Room is responsible for providing all patrons of the Bar & Restaurant with an incomparable dining experience. Our Servers are dynamic and passionate in their approach to Food & Beverage service, constantly turning a diner’s meal into a memorable experience by treating each person individually and catering their interaction.

What you will be doing:

Complete Daily Operations (i.e. opening and closing duties, stocking, polishing, cleaning and maintaining walk-ins, fridges and other areas as assigned by the MOD)
Meet and greet guests and coordinate with other colleagues and MOD regarding preferences, allergies and special occasions
Have full knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
Maintain quality and timeliness of service and practice effective up selling and suggestive selling techniques to drive outlet revenue
Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Must have Pro-Serve Certification
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Server in a high-volume and fast paced environment required
Previous point-of-sale system experience required
Extensive wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is essential
Must be able to carry and serve 3 plates at one time
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
