- 5th Class Power Engineer
- Minimum 3 years as Asst. Chief Engineer at a similar size hotel Administration
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Projects completed on time within budget.
- Legislated maintenance tests completed on time and in accordance with regulations set forward by the government. 4 Diamond Service
- The Assistant Chief Engineer exhibits a professional vocabulary in all communication with guests, contractors and suppliers
- Associate is always properly attired in business wear/ uniform, with clearly visible name tag Leadership
- Available 24/7 in case of emergencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Adheres & enforces organizational policy and procedures. Reports to: Chief Engineer Scope To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department and all related services (technical), achieving maximum employee job satisfaction, high degree of guest satisfaction and adherence to the standards required by the Hotel. Duties & Responsibilities
- To ensure that all technical supplies for the Hotel are of good quality, adhering to hotel standards, while keeping the cost of these items to a minimum
- To establish and administer the Preventative Maintenance Program and Energy Management System
- To coordinate and carry out all renovation and maintenance programs with other departments
- To ensure that all shifts are covered properly with professional staff at hand
- To maintain and ensure proper fire fighting procedures and safety standards for all areas and equipment
- To attend all department head meetings in the absence of the Chief Engineer
- To attend departmental communication meetings as required
- To attend training courses within the hotel or professional engineering seminars
- To liaise effectively with various government inspectors, fire marshals, insurance brokers, Parks Canada and the Town of Banff
- To liaise and coordinate with architects, interior designers and consultants regarding upgrading the hotel property
- Responsible for insuring all shifts are covered by qualified personnel Physical Demands
- Lifting 50lbs maximum
- Frequent lifting/carrying up to 20lbs
- Requires significant walking/standing
