Summary of Responsibilities: 
Reporting to the Regional Director, Tour & Leisure, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- In additional to Regional Sales Coordinator, this position is the Contract Specialist within the Tour & Leisure Sales Department.
- Team lead for all aspects of creating, checking and issuing Tour & Leisure contacts and distributing through proper channels internally
- Maintain tracking and reporting system in excel for top accounts
- Provide departmental administration support
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Coordinating and supporting all aspects of sales activities including taking initial inquiries, generating leads, proposals, referrals and contracts, blocking space etc.
- Liaise with clients in absence of sales managers
- Maintain an accurate count of all Sales collateral
- Possess and share knowledge of The Fairmont Banff Springs, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler products including accommodation, meeting facilities, history and heritage, activities and local programming
- After appropriate training and development, participate in site inspections, familiarization tours, trade shows and functions within the hotel, as required, and in the absence of the Sales Manager
- Actively participate in industry and hotel training programs
- Be an effective team player within the Sales team of Canada's Western Mountain Region and with other team members in Catering and Conventions, Guest Services, Food and Beverage and other key areas within the hotel and the region
- Actively seek opportunities to improve systems and procedures
- Willing to manage additional responsibilities and duties as required
- Participate in at least one hotel committee (e.g. Health & Safety Committee)
- Attend all Sales meetings and other meetings as required
- Any other tasks assigned
- Any other tasks assigned Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience in hotel environment (ideally in Sales, Reservations, Conference Service or Front Office)
- Background in accounting or finance is an asset
- Excellent communication skills and English; second foreign language a definite asset
- Proficient knowledge of Excel for reporting, tracking and various projects
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows
- Knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering / Opera Sales Force Automation and Property Manager are assets
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Articulate, self-motivated, energetic and positive team-player
- Confident, well-groomed, pleasant telephone and personal disposition
- Able to multi-task and work under deadlines
- Knowledge of The Fairmont Banff Springs, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, heritage, facilities and programs are a definite asset
- Desire to learn and advance within the Sales and Marketing team/division
- Enjoys challenges, works well under time pressure, thinks ahead and is extremely committed to the job
