Full job description
Guest Service Supervisor - The Kenrick Hotel

At The Kenrick Hotel, we believe that luxury is personal. It’s in the way we greet each guest by name, the way we anticipate needs before they arise, and the way every detail no matter how small is handled with care and pride. As our Guest Service Supervisor, you’ll lead the front desk team in delivering this kind of thoughtful, tailored experience that turns first-time visitors into lifelong guests.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about hospitality, loves working with people, and knows that real luxury is about connection, not just appearance. If you thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and where your leadership directly shapes the guest experience, this could be your next great role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the Team

Support, guide, and coach our front desk team to deliver seamless, intuitive service.
Lead by example with a calm presence, a helpful attitude, and a genuine love for hospitality.
Make sure the team is trained, confident, and empowered to delight guests in every interaction.
Welcoming Our Guests

Ensure every guest feels seen, heard, and valued from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.
Handle questions, concerns, and the occasional hiccup with empathy and care.
Pay close attention to guest feedback and help find ways to make each stay even better than the last.
Anticipate needs and exceed expectations, making each guest feel genuinely welcomed, personally understood, and fully at ease from arrival to departure.
Keeping Things Running Smoothly

Oversee daily front desk operations check-ins, check-outs, room coordination, billing, and beyond.
Work closely with housekeeping, reservations, and maintenance to make sure everything behind the scenes flows just as smoothly as what guests experience.
Step in to make smart, thoughtful decisions when unexpected situations arise (which they sometimes do).
Sharing What We Offer

Help guests discover what makes The Kenrick special from our bespoke services and amenities to local experiences.
Make recommendations, offer upgrades when appropriate, and go the extra mile to create moments that surprise and delight.
A Bit of the Behind-the-Scenes Work

Help manage daily cash handling and guest billing.
Keep things organized and report back to hotel leadership on how we’re doing and where we can grow.
Concierge & Personal Service

Serve as a thoughtful and reliable point of contact for guests seeking curated recommendations, from tucked-away restaurants to can’t-miss cultural experiences.
Arrange dining reservations, private tours, transportation, and bespoke requests with precision and care, ensuring each detail reflects the guest’s unique preferences.
Cultivate strong relationships with trusted local partners and vendors to provide exclusive access to experiences that highlight the character and charm of our surrounding community.
What We’re Looking For

Experience in a front desk or guest services role, ideally in a luxury or boutique hotel setting.
Strong communication skills and a calm, confident leadership style.
A natural ability to connect with people and build trust quickly.
Comfort with hotel software and general tech, with the flexibility to learn new systems.
A team player who’s dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to deescalate guest recovery
Ability to work in a past pace work environment.
Visa Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Please note that the hotel is not able to provide assistance with obtaining work authorization.
