SALARY:

First 90 days: $20.50 per hour
After 90 days: $22.50 per hour
Summer incentive bonus between May - October (conditions apply)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for Front Desk, Reservations, Guest Activity and occasional Night Audit shifts (as needed). This position provides friendly and accurate service to our guests in a fast-paced environment. Customer service and ensuring the best customer experience is at the forefront of all aspects of this role. This role is required to cover relief Night Audit shift (overnights) as required. Overnight shifts pay a $1 premium per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Checking in and checking out guests
Answer the hotel phone and taking reservations
Respond to internal guest requests
Communicate and coordinate with other departments within the hotel, particularly Housekeeping and Maintenance
Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, and services available in the community
Improve guest experience through recognizing and resolving guest issues promptly
Assist with training new team members (Front Desk, Reservation, and Night Audit) in order to maintain the desired level of service
Ensure cash handling procedure are followed at all times
Ensure that front desk and lobby area are clean
Ensure the Guest Service Standards, Hotel Policies and Procedures are maintained at all times
Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
Other duties as assigned by Front Office Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 6 months of Hotel Front Desk or 1 year Customer Service Experience preferred.

Computer experience with Opera is preferred
A passion for customer service, and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication, interpersonal, administration, and communication skills
Knowledge of foreign languages is an asset
Ability to work different shifts, including overnight shifts
Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
Friendly and pleasant demeanor
