What will you do in this job?:
Drive food and beverage sales to hit optimum average cheque
Manage all booking platforms and business volume to achieve overall guest satisfaction: not limited to Open Table.
Assist in the development of a cocktail menu that pushes boundaries bi-annually
Maintain proper service standards, procedures, key notes to work when greeting guests, upselling, clearing, timing on tables
Lead liquor, wine and beer program and instill professionalism in delivery
Lead daily lines up, not limited to highlighting specials both beverage and food, inspection of uniforms and dining room
Maintain a high level of execution and level of day-to-day operations, special events not limited to weddings, buy-outs or cooperate events by building a high functioning and positive team
Responsible for PAR levels based on volume & work with Shipping and Receiving to requisition and order the necessary products
Create the “WOW” experience for each guest visiting the gondola & ensuring continuous improvement of guest and employee experiences
Develop consistency within offerings, follow and improve standards based on guest needs and wants
Daily inspection of cleanliness and organization: ensure there is zero clutter at all service stations
Ensure training standards are strictly maintained at a high level throughout Sky Bistro
Deliver on the spot guest service resolution, don’t make excuses
Drive food quality guidelines set out by Food and Beverage Manager: Banff Gondola and Executive Chef
Daily reports on promos and guest feedback to Food & Beverage Manager: Banff Gondola
Work as one unit with the Back of House – one team, one food and beverage department
Help support all areas within the Gondola – keeping in mind ‘one guest – one experience’
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry – concentrating on upscale fine dining
Diploma/ Degree within Hospitality focusing on Food and Beverage is an asset
Sommelier training is an asset
Experience building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization
Strong experience in upscale and high-volume restaurants and special event execution
Proven track record in maintaining a high level of organization on and off the floor
Effective communicator and able to implement and uphold high service standards
Driven to fostering a team building environment and creating positive guest experiences.
An eye for detail and quality
Showing leadership in a positive, calm, consistent and focused manner
What will your work environment be like?:
This a seasonal position from June 1st - October 30th, 2022.

Remote. Our home is filled with trees, lakes and blue-bird skies; rather than buildings, freeways and smog.
