Position Overview: The Accounting Support Assistant provides essential support to the accountant by managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and delivering administrative assistance. This role acts as a critical liaison between the accounting department and other hotel operations to ensure smooth financial processes and proper documentation. The position requires attention to detail, confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in preparing and maintaining daily financial reports

· Provide general administrative support for hotel operations

· Complete cash outs, deposits, and journal entries with accuracy

· Enter and code invoices according to established accounting procedures

· Organize financial documents and maintain filing systems

· Provide administrative support

· Audit expense reports and manage petty cash with accuracy

· Coordinate supplies ordering and inventory management

· Follow up with vendors, clients, and internal departments as needed

· Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding financial information

· Attend and contribute to department meetings

· Manage correspondence, mail, and internal/external communications

· Liaise with department heads to gather necessary financial information

· Support staff events and initiatives

· Perform other duties as assigned by the accountant or management

Qualifications

· Administrative/accounting experience an asset

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

· Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality

· Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
