At Good Folk, we’re redefining Banff’s dining experience with warm hospitality, elevated comfort food crafted from locally sourced ingredients, and a curated selection of off-the-beaten-path wines and cocktails that celebrate the unique and unexpected. We’re looking for friendly, organized, and guest-focused Hosts to welcome diners and help set the tone for an exceptional experience. As the first and last person our guests see, you’ll ensure every visit starts and ends on a high note—warm, seamless, and memorable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists effectively
Communicate wait times clearly and manage guest expectations
Coordinate the dining room flow and support pacing of service
Liaise with servers and kitchen to ensure efficient table turns
Assist with coat check, phone inquiries, and occasional food running
Keep the host stand and entrance organized and welcoming
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
Follow all health and safety procedures and report concerns promptly
What You Bring:
Previous hosting or front desk experience is an asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Organized, calm, and friendly under pressure
Professional appearance and a warm, welcoming presence
Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift
ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
