We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Project Manager to j o in ou r Hotel Capital Management t ea m i n Banff for an 18-month contract . In this role, you will be a key member of the Hotel Capital Management Team responsible for capital reinvestment across our iconic Canadian Hotels portfolio.

As a member of this team, you will:
Report to Director, Hotels Capital Management

Independently lead capital projects across Oxford’s Western Canada hotel assets including The Fairmont Banff Springs, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Assemble and lead multi-disciplinary design teams toward project objectives

Assemble and actively maintain project budgets and schedules

Detail and closely coordinate project schedules with hotel operations teams to minimize revenue displacement and guest disruption

Lead the project design and coordination for permit applications, competitive procurement, and ultimately construction

Chair regular project meetings and distribute minutes/notes

Prepare project commitments including POs, LOI’s, Consultant Agreements, Construction Contracts (CCDC’s), etc.

Coordinate projects close out procedures including deficiency lists, O&M manuals, operator training, etc.

Track project costs and approvals in keeping with Oxfords governance requirements

Maintain and archive organize project files for active and future use

Responsible for communicating effectively with the Hotel Operations Teams, Brand Corporate Offices, Authorities having Jurisdiction, Project Consultants and Contractors.

Provide regular project updates for Director, Hotels Capital Management and the hotel asset management team.

Responsible for maintaining and building industry relationships

Actively contribute to assembly of capital reinvestment plans aligned with hotel asset strategies

Special Projects as directed by Director, Hotels Capital Management

To succeed in this role, you will require:
Strong Project Management fundamentals and techniques. 3-5 years working experience required. Possess a PMP or similar designation preferred.

Strong working knowledge of interiors design and construction. Past hotel and resorts experience would be highly valued.

Familiarity with facilities components and building systems (HVAC, electrical, building exteriors, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Well experienced with the MS Office Suite, specifically proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Strong understanding of hotel operations including all operating departments core functions

Effectively communicate with the hotel operations partners and all other project stakeholders

Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities in a fast pace environment

Highly organized and process oriented

Ability to function both self-directed and within a team

Embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a team environment

Driven to achieving results and continuously striving to deliver the highest performance through creative thinking

Possess a College diploma or Undergraduate Degree
