At Banff Sunshine Village, we are currently looking for a passionate creator to join our world-class Alpine resort. Banff Sunshine Village, located in Banff National Park is the premier ski and snowboard destination in the Canadian Rockies. The resort is famous for being home to Canada’s Best Snow and it’s extra-long ski season.
Right now, we are actively recruiting for an energetic and creative individual to join our creative team as an inhouse Video & Content Creator. The Video & Content Creator will play an integral role in our resort’s communications, social media and marketing. As Sunshine’s inhouse Video & Content Creator the successful candidate will work hand in hand with the resort’s communications and events team to animate, capture, broadcast and bring to live the magic of Banff Sunshine commercially.
As a Banff Sunshine Video and Content Creator your major responsibilities will include capturing, editing, and uploading daily/weekly video & photo content, editing commercials, generating new web series and ideas, storyboarding video and photo concepts, posting content across various social media, working with various departments to generate marking assets, and working with various departments to update training videos and resources.

Essential Functions
Capture awe DAILY inspiring photos & videos that show the fun, magic and BEST of Banff Sunshine Village.
Capture and share the essence of Banff Sunshine Village for a variety of demographics – including bu not limited to our local market, our international market, our park audience and our family audience
Create content that highlights key services and amenities provided by Banff Sunshine Village, including Sunshine Mountain Lodge, ski school, restaurants, retail, rentals, grooming, etc. This content will air on Sunshine’s social media channels.
Capture and edit video and photo content of all Sunshine events (rail jams, spring concert series, etc.). Event recap videos will be posted online.
Plan daily/weekly/monthly shoots for new and current web-series, content, projects and put them into execution (planning, filming, editing, etc.).
Edit, upload and organize daily photos & videos into a content library, ensuring proper file naming is being used.
Create weekly best of edit for photos to share with various partners and media.
Perform site inspections for video teasers, events, photo shoots, and television & movie productions.
Assist with media visits and ensure to capture original content.
Work collaboratively with the entire Sunshine Creative Team – check in with the Digital Marketing Specialist daily before heading up the mountain. Take direction from Director and Supervisor to check in with various departments on-mountain.
Assist and execute with all Sunshine events and projects. You may be required to assist with set up and tear down of events.
Complete all video & photo requests in a timely manner, including edit requests.
Act as a brand ambassador and mediator; throughout all aspects of work as per Banff Sunshine Village brand policy.
Work with Sales & Marketing to create support content for upcoming sales and promotion campaigns.
Work with all different departments of the resort, as well as external contractors.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
Experience/Requirements
Experienced outdoor videographer and photographer with excellent editing skills.
Strong photography skills
Ability to edit commercials
Practical experience creating videos/photos for working with social networks and platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, and Tiktok. and Vimeo. Must stay up to date on the ever changing preferences of various social networks.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or advertising (preferred) - OR - equivalent work experience in photo/video creation and editing within social media focused environments (content creation).
Proficient Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects) and video editing software such as Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro is a must, as well as basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Must be an expert level skier or snowboarder and be able to carry camera gear on challenging terrain.
Strong communication and organizational skills, including handling multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
Ability to work individually (self-starter) and be a strong team player Coachability and willingness to take direction are essential.
Must love and appreciate the Canadian Rockies.
