What can you expect?

The Human Resources Coordinator provides an outstanding experience for our internal guests, ensuring a positive experience for employees and volunteers. Human Resources Coordinators contribute to the daily operations of the HR department while overseeing initiatives, projects, and programs relating to engagement, and the employee lifecycle – from onboarding to offboarding at season or employment end. The HR Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Management team and liaises closely with all Resort departments.

This position is based at the Resort in Banff, Alberta.

What will you be doing?
Act as the point of contact for HR inquiries and escalate as appropriate. Provide outstanding service to our staff by answering their questions and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with the rest of the HR team and the other Resort departments to resolve issues.
Administer and facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of our employees.
Assist with uniform distribution and maintenance.
Coordinate all employee communications in collaboration with the Communications Team (e.g. newsletters, scheduled messaging).
Manage engagement initiatives in collaboration with the HR Management Team (e.g. recognition programs, rewards, staff events).
Support the Recruitment Team during busier recruitment periods as needed (e.g. preparing job requisitions, posting job advertisements, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, sending offer letters).
Continuously work to improve our processes and make us more efficient as a team.
Provide confidential and professional interactions with employees, supervisors and managers.
Experience/Requirements
Previous administrative experience (minimum 2 years). Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in seasonal, recreation, and tourism-focused workplaces. Designation or related post-secondary education in Human Resources, business administration or a closely related field.
Advanced computer skills. Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce or a similar HRIS system is preferred.
Strong spoken and written communication skills. Must be fluent in English.
Analytical skills, ability to integrate data and information.
Service-oriented. Professional, positive, and friendly attitude.
Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and organized. Excellent time management and a strong aptitude for forward planning.
Strong sense of initiative and solid problem-solving skills. Calm under pressure and patient.
Effectively provide training, support, and assistance to coworkers and other departments.
Must always maintain confidentiality and professional conduct, on or off-duty, and online.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays, some evenings, and overtime).
Prepared to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (appropriate footwear, outerwear, etc.).
Must be accurate, punctual, dependable, and have an enthusiastic approach to service delivery.
