As a café cook you will “Take Care of Banff” by delivering outstanding food and beverage at the café located in The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre in a sanitary and safe manner. This is a hands-on role where you enjoy working in the front and back of house and enjoy interacting with a team and our customers. You will get to serve many facility rental clients and community members including hockey tournaments, curling bonspiels, special events and more.

Position duties are designed to be successfully accomplished within the weekly hours and include;

Ability to assemble a meal with the right and measured ingredients and instructions listed on the recipe for all menu items.
Efficiently prep, cook, plate and expedite orders.
Ability to prepare, present and store all food and beverage items in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Adhere to food handling, sanitation and safety procedures and maintain logs, prepare food labels and stored food, etc. in a safe and sanitary manner.
Effective time management through the start and end of day for food preparation which includes tasks such as restocking condiments, ingredients, etc. and chopping, mixing, cooking, etc. of menu items for the current or next day.
Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment including, ovens, steamers, warmers, fryers, dishwashers, etc.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of all work and preparation surfaces and equipment throughout the day and thoroughly clean surfaces at the end of day.
Providing the supervisor with timely information related to inventory supply to ensure low stock items can be ordered.

This position will be based on 10 - 15 hours per week and includes evenings and weekends. The wage range is between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour.
