We are searching for creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who consistently strive for perfection. This role exists to support the needs of the Room Attendants, guest calls, and linen sorting as well as supporting the public areas of the hotel.

This position you will be scheduled for a variety of shifts varying from mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service

Responsible for sanitizing ice machines on guest room floors

Responsible for the adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to the Housekeeping department

Expected to adhere to all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards that relate to hygiene and grooming, health and safety, fire, accommodations, guestroom standards, guest interactions, lost and found and radio protocol

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the backspaces. This will include but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, trash and recycling removal, stocking and organizing

Support Room Attendants by removing dirty linen from vacant guest rooms

Responsible for stocking linens and guest supplies in appropriate places and to appropriate par levels (this task supports and assists the Room Attendants)

Sorting dirty linen ready for export to laundry services

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the guest corridors and public spaces. This will include but not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, polishing, damp dusting, elevator track cleaning, cleaning public washrooms, brass polishing and trash removal.

Responsible cleaning dirty glassware from guestrooms and restocking clean glassware in appropriate places and to appropriate par levels

Load and unload the glass machines and put all items away in the correct place

All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
Must be able to make decisions individually and show problem solving ability
Able to work well independently with little supervision
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Excellent organizational skills and time management
Physically fit as you will be standing and walking throughout shift
Ability to work well under pressure
Able to push and pull large laundry bins weighing up to 1000 lbs
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to bend and kneel with comfort
Bending, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulder height, standing, walking and climbing a ladder to a maximum of 10ft
