THE ROLE:

Under the general direction of the Front Office Manager and indirectly the Controller, the night auditor is responsible for balancing the day’s accounts, processing the audit and updating guest histories as well as taking care of our guests’ needs in a professional manner and in accordance with hotel standards.

ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the Night Auditor include, but are not limited to the following:

Balance the day:
- Print appropriate reports and compare all revenue centers against the source documents.
- Correct inappropriate entries.
- Recap the food and beverage information into the PMS.
- Process audit and check the reports and balances for accuracy.
- Prepare guest folios for all departing guests.
- Update customer history.
- Ensure backups are done and interfaces are reset properly.

Checking guest in and out:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Reconfirm the details of guest stay and guest history.
- Provide information of our other services.
- Establish a method of payment.
- Issue keys in keeping with the security procedures.
- Update PMS and file paperwork accordingly.
