Bar & Floor Manager (Hybrid Role)
Location: Banff, AB

Compensation: $23–$27/hour + gratuities

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bar & Floor Manager to join our leadership team in a hybrid, hands-on role at The Boss Kitchen & Bar in Banff!


This position is ideal for a strong hospitality professional who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and understands that great service is built through standards, systems, and people.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily bar and service operations while actively supporting the team during service. This is not a desk job — you’ll be leading from the front, maintaining flow, guest experience, and team accountability.

Key Responsibilities
Floor & Service Leadership

Lead service shifts with confidence, ensuring smooth flow and exceptional guest experience
Support servers and bartenders during service while maintaining standards
Handle guest concerns professionally and proactively
Ensure opening, closing, and side duties are completed correctly and on time
Bar Operations

Oversee bar service standards, speed, cleanliness, and consistency
Support bartenders during high-volume periods
Ensure accurate pours, cash handling, and POS usage
Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and cost control
Ordering of Liquor, Wine, and Beer while controlling costs
Create and test cocktails for seasonal menu rollouts and features
Procurement of new Beers & Wines for seasonal menu rollouts and features
Team Leadership & Accountability

Coach, motivate, and support FOH staff
Enforce company policies, routines, and service standards
Assist with training and onboarding of new team members
Provide clear communication and feedback to staff and ownership
Operational Support

Ensure compliance with AGLC and responsible service standards
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across FOH and bar areas
Assist with scheduling support, shift coverage, and daily operational needs
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2–3 years experience in a supervisory or management role (bar or FOH)
Strong bar knowledge and service leadership experience
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Confident decision-maker with a team-first mindset
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
ProServe certification
Minimum commitment of 3 years in the role
