Job Description

Scope

Provide professional, engaging, and friendly service while delivering food and beverage orders and/or amenities to guest rooms.

Duties and Responsibilities

Have complete knowledge of In-Room Dining menu and ensure awareness of all menu specials, shortages, or item specifics on a per shift basis
Have basic knowledge of wine and spirits
Receive orders via telephone, correctly enter items into MICROS system, set food service cart appropriately, and deliver food and beverages directly to guest rooms
Communicate with guests the applicable service charges and acceptable payment methods
Maintain ongoing communication with Kitchen team and other In-Room Dining staff on a regular basis
Polish silverware and glassware
Accurately check, restock, and charge Mini Bar baskets in guest rooms
Work as a team to maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete closing duties checklist and prepare a pass-on report of duties for follow-up and sharing of important information for incoming team members
May be scheduled to work in Coffee Shop when necessary
Ensure all health regulations and food safety rules are followed
Adhere to all department and company policies and Health & Safety rules set by the Rimrock Resort Hotel
Be knowledgeable of the Hotel’s facilities and the surrounding area of Banff National Park

Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Alberta ProServe Certification
Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position
Customer service oriented
Excellent communication skills
Organized with solid time-management skills
Competent in Micros POS and comfortable handling cash
Physical Demands

Significant standing, walking, leaning, and pushing of carts weighing up to 25 pounds / 11.5 kg
Frequent kneeling, crouching, squatting, reaching, bending,
Performing repetitive tasks with accuracy
May need to climb on small step ladders to reach supplies
Occasionally may need to lift, carry, and pull up to 44 pounds / 20 kg during a shift
Will be exposed to hot, damp kitchen and dishwashing environments with chemical fumes and noise
