Moraine Lake Bus Company is expanding its summer team and is seeking minibus driver guides. We provide scheduled bus service for visitors and residents looking to discover the beauty of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in summer.

We are in search of individuals who truly value the splendour of the Canadian Rockies, enjoy driving on picturesque mountain highways, and relish in the excitement of interacting with guests from around the world.

The ideal candidate will find satisfaction in working independently, demonstrate a commitment to treating guests with respect, tact, and diplomacy, and embrace the opportunity to safely navigate the same stunning route throughout the entire summer.

Position Summary

Minibus driver guides play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of a 24-passenger minibus. Their responsibilities include adhering to timely route schedules, managing ticket sales, and engaging with guests to share information about Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, and the Canadian Rockies.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers by conducting thorough pre-trip inspections and maintaining attentiveness while driving
Deliver outstanding customer service by being warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming to all guests
Collect fares in accordance with the fare schedule
Efficiently follow the scheduled itinerary
Competently operate all electronic technology applications on the bus
Attend all training sessions and staff meetings as required
Maintain and keep minibus clean during shift
Perform any additional related tasks as necessary
Experience:

Alberta Class 4 Operator's License (or similar from other Canadian provinces)
Previous driving experience considered an asset
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English
Customer service focused with an ability to work professionally with the public
Knowledge of the Bow Valley and Banff/Jasper National Parks considered an asset
Ability to handle stressful situations in a composed manner
A genuine appreciation for the Canadian Rockies, driving on scenic mountain highways, and sharing in the enthusiasm of guests from around the world
Ability to handle cash, operate payment systems, and manage scheduling software
Other Requirements, Conditions:

Minimum 23 years of age
Must have reliable transportation to and from Lake Louise
Driver’s license in good standing
Clean driving abstract
Must be able to legally work in Canada.
Must be able to pass criminal record check
Must be able to work a schedule which includes evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and some early morning
Compensation & Benefits:

$26.00 per hour
$3.00/hour retention bonus
$75.00/day early morning bonus
100% of your gratuities
Flexible Scheduling
4-day work week or 5-day work week
Up to 44 hours/week
English Fluency Level required for position
