Assistant General Manager


The Canalta Lodge is the perfect place for your next getaway. Set in the mountains, at the base of Canadas most majestic backcountry, Canalta Lodge provides an authentic taste of mountain life. Currently looking for an Assistant General Manager, to be a valued member of the hotel leadership team,


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct and oversee the functionality in the daily operations of the property including Front Office, Housekeeping and Food and Maintenance departments

Conduct daily hotel inspections

Monitor and enhance team member productivity

Direct daily department operations including, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, inventory management, and cost controls, systems use and management, budgeting, and forecasting, adherence to federal, state and local standards and meeting participation and facilitation.

Maintain a positive, productive, professional attitude and appearance in dealing with all other departments in the hotel

Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork


Qualifications:

Previous experience as a hotel General Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Desk Manager, is preferred although not mandatory..

Diploma in Hotel Management or Business Management is preferred although not mandatory

At least a year of experience in a customer-oriented position is required

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills


Salary: $29 per hour- minimum 32 hours per week

Bonus: Potential bonus of 15% of annual salary at employers discretion.

Benefits: Extended health including dental care, vision and long-term disability

Job Type: Full-time permanent, minimum 32 hours per week

Language: Strong command of English is required
