Good Folk Hospitality is creating two new Food & Beverage concepts unique to Banff, Alberta. These experiences will bring people together through delicious, nourishing food and hand crafted, top quality beverages in an environment that is lively, welcoming and appealing. Consider joining our team as Executive Chef, and lead culinary operations in both concepts.

The Executive Chef must set an exemplary standard of culinary execution while ensuring effective controls are followed to maintain operational budgets. The Executive Chef is expected to build and maintain a team in a way that reflects our unique company culture while consistently delivering a high level of food experiences.

Responsibilities
Dedication to Culinary Excellence: Consistently ensure exceptional food experiences
Business Acumen: Use business literacy skills to make decisions that lead to successful operations.
Leadership: Lead, mentor and train the culinary brigade in each restaurant.
Proactive Planning: Manage inventory levels for operational supplies.
Ongoing Menu Development: Ensure the culinary offerings are current and competitive while staying true to the brand
Genuine Passion: Real desire to curate special food experiences. Encourage and instill this passion throughout the team.
Communication: Provide clean, open, and consistent communication with stakeholders
Experience | Skills | Requirements
Must have a strong business acumen with a strong understanding of the business model, the ability to read and measure key metrics and to make decisions that lead to a successful business
Be able to coach and execute service with a high degree of culinary skill
5 or more years of experience as a culinary leader
Red Seal Certification, Culinary Diploma or similar
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to: POS, inventory software, MS Office Programs
Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
