Full job description
Wild Flour Bakery is a bustling spot in downtown Banff, famous for our fresh bread, pastries and quality coffee. Locals and visitors love to gather here and discuss the day's adventures. We give back to our community and care for our environment, including sourcing ingredients from local producers and zero-waste practices.

The Café Head Chef leads the back-of-house team, fostering a fun, productive and supportive atmosphere. They design nourishing menus, using local and seasonal ingredients, to help Wild Flour stand out in Banff’s café scene. With a focus on quality control, they create standards, train and coach their team to achieve exceptional flavour, consistency, and presentation in everything we serve. This role requires a combination of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail. The Head Chef must also lead in alignment with our company purpose and values, embracing opportunities to support our community and improve our environmental practices.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Culinary Education, Red Seal or equivalent preferred.
Food Safe Certification.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with passion for developing people.
Creativity and passion for nourishing food and sustainable practices.
