We're on the lookout for experienced baristas, to join our Uprising Bake Shop + Espresso Bar on Banff Ave! If you have a flair for creating a range of espresso drinks, a passion for the food industry, and excel in excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!

We're a small, locally-owned company, dedicated to quality, handcrafted baking and providing a warm, inviting, contemporary take on a European bakery-store experience. Our team style is friendly, personable, fun, and professional. If this sounds like a fit for you, please get in touch!

P/t + f/t positions available. Must be available to work from 6:30am-2pm, 1pm-9pm, 9am-5pm

Job Types: Casual, Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive experience for our customers. Your attention to detail, knowledge of drink recipes, and ability to provide exceptional customer service will contribute to the success of our Lounge Bar. Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Previous experience in barista or food service is preferred. We are seeking a true skilled and enthusiastic Barista / Server to join our team.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks

- Take customer orders and ensure accuracy in preparation and delivery

- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with accuracy

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area

- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Assist with food preparation as needed

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred

- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills

- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus

- Familiarity with food safety regulations

- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
