What will be your daily pursuit?:
Welcoming and helping our guests by maintaining and beautifying our hotels.

This is a full-time, permanent role - working a standard 40-hour workweek.
Compensation:
The starting salary for this role is $21.00 per hour.

What will you do in this job?:
Maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences and office for call outs
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, back spaces, staff residences and office
Maintain HVAC equipment with carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), filter change program and coil cleaning
Minor plumbing, Minor Electrical, Minor HVAC and Minor carpentry
Maintain walkways (throughout the year), lawns and flower gardens
Assist tradesmen/contractors when needed
Order parts / equipment working with Assistant Maintenance Manager
Report broken or misused equipment to Assistant Maintenance Manager / Engineering Office
Organize inventory of parts necessary for this position
Maintain compliance of all H&S programs.
Maintain accurate reports and logs as per the hotel requirements
Maintain a safe and hazard free work environment.
Gain complete knowledge of hotel and residence fire standards and procedures.
Must respond as part of the Emergency Response Team.
Actively participate in the hotel environmental program.
Other assigned duties as necessary to fulfill the scope and general purpose of job
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Previous experience in Building Maintenance (PPM) – required
Possess working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset.
Working knowledge of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operations
Must work well without supervision
Valid Driver's Licence
Minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge.
Minor Kitchen equipment knowledge.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Computer literacy required: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to work effectively in a high pace environment.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment.
Must be willing to learn, self motivated and be comfortable working in a technically demanding environment.
Further training will be required as it relates to property specific systems
